The main recipient of soda lye is the construction industry, which uses the product in:

  • the process of obtaining water glass from silica, which is a component of high-quality silicone adhesives and paints,

  • production of titanium white, which is one of the basic components of paints,

  • production of synthetic dyes,

  • in the process of producing specialist surfactants for the construction and construction industry as:

- sodium carrier in the synthesis of specialized ionic surfactants, - catalyst (reagent) for the ethoxylation and propoxylation process, - neutralizer (reagent) for the sulfonation process,

  • the final stage of the production process of additives for plastics used, among others, in construction, as a neutralizing agent,

  • production of additives for concrete and cement mortars (superplasticizers, dispersants) as a neutralizing substance.

Other uses of soda lye:

  • synthesis of various organic and inorganic compounds (e.g. as a raw material (sodium carrier) for the production of ionic surfactants),

  • pulp and paper industry (crushing, lignin removal, pulp bleaching and wastewater treatment processes),

  • an ingredient of disinfection products in the agricultural and food industry,

  • processes for obtaining aluminum from bauxites,

  • production of soaps and detergents,

  • neutralization of acidic waste streams and purification of waste gases from acidic components,

  • textile industry - cotton processing, dyeing of synthetic fibers (such as nylon or polyester),

  • water treatment processes,

  • production of dyes, bleaches,

  • obtaining artificial silk,

  • rubber production and rubber regeneration,

  • mining industry,

  • refining crude oil and mineral oils,

  • as a laboratory reagent
