ABS acid - Dodecylbenzenesulfonic Acid - 85536-14-7 belongs to anionic surfactants from the group of alkyl benzosulfonates. Its INCI name is Dodecylbenzenesulfonic Acid. The product is in the form of a light brown to dark brown liquid. It is in acidic and highly concentrated form. It contains over 96% of the active substance. Thanks to the high concentration, it is therefore possible to reduce the transport costs of this product.

ABS acid is a surfactant that is primarily used in the production of various types of alkyl benzene sulfonic acid salts, e.g. sodium or ethanolamine salts. The formulation of this product is a neutralized form, which can be used during the preparation of the finished mixture. After undergoing the neutralization process, ABS acid takes on a number of desirable features, such as excellent degreasing and wetting properties. These are very desirable features in the case of washing and cleaning hard surfaces and in fabric treatment processes. The neutralized form of ABS Acid is also used to prepare recipes for liquid and powder detergents as well as for washing and cleaning.

The product is also characterized by foaming and emulsifying properties. Perfectly disperses particles of various types of dirt.

ABS acid is a surfactant resistant to hydrolysis in an alkaline environment. Thanks to this property, the product is perfect for the production of washing and washing agents for professional use with a strongly alkaline character. This product also performs excellently as a component of flame retardant hydraulic fluids and metalworking formulations. In this type of products, ABS acid acts as a machining coolant as well as a cooling and lubricating additive. As a finished product (without neutralization), ABS acid is used in formulations with low pH values.

ABS acid is a biodegradable surfactant that complies with the biodegradability criteria set out in Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 on detergents.
